Why Singaporean (some) does behave this way???

Wednesday, December 28th, 2005

It was a sunny afternoon and I was on my way home from a Kodak shop after developing some photos and photocopying of some documents.

Just as I was under block 420, I heard some shouting from the top of the block. I was puzzled and with the passion for exploration, I looked up and I had the area scanned through and roughly had made up what had happened at the scene. Then proceed to my block at 421.

I then took the lift to my level and upon stepping out of the lift, I heard more shouting. The cleaner was jet cleaning the corridor and as he was jetting the corridor outside of the 2nd unit, the owner shouted at him. I roughly made up the scenario like this: Some of the mist from the jet went into the unit and the owner was furious…

I then went back to my unit and I observe the whole incident from my room. I then saw the owner came out of the unit and demand the particulars of the cleaner.

“Give me yr Name and I/C no.!”

“Hello uncle, foreign worker where got I/C one?” I think to myself.

“Give me yr work permit no.” the owner then said.

The worker was trying to defend himself from all the rubbish the owner gave him.

“Why are u so stupid?” The asshole said.

Just as the worker was trying to explain further; “U never use yr brain! U got no BRAIN!!” continued the stupid ass from Singapore.

I can clearly know that the worker is worried. I’ve worked with foreign workers form Sri Lanka, India, Vietnam, Bangladeshand many more. I know their family back in their country depends on them for a living; they can’t afford to lose their job!!! And this bloody asshole tucks away comfortably in a pigeon hole is trying to destroy the livelihood of this man…

NO WAY I AM GONNA LET U THIS BLOODY ASS DO IT!!!

“U SO CLEVER U CLEAN LOR… U SMART MAH… YA LAH PEOPLE STUPID U SMART… THEN U CLEAN YR OWN CORRIDOR LA... TALK SO MUCH FOR WAT?!?!?!” I shouted through my window.

Then the homegrown local asshole started to look around trying to locate where the voice comes from… He didn’t.

“U must like this, like this, clean understand?” the ass continued.

Eh… uncle asshole, people is trained to do jet cleaning for yr block and u r teaching him how to do… U sure u knows what ya doing or not?

“U CLEAN YRSELF LA… U KNOWS HOW TO DO MA… CLEAN YR CORRIDOR YRSELF LAH!!!” I continued…

Upon hearing this again, uncle ass brings the worried looking worker to his corridor and he took the jet and shows the worker HOW to do jet cleaning… This time I was amazed… “Hmmm… Let see what’s up in his sleeves mann…” I think to myself.

“U must like this, like this, slowly, slowly, understand?” he explained as he do some demo with the jet.

Dear uncle ass form level 6 of block 420, do u know what are u doing? Do u know that this kind of cleaning is call jet cleaning? And do u know how jet cleaning is done? The water is even weaker than my pee pressure mann… and u want to show the experience worker how to jet clean??? Oh… for god’s sake… in this case I should say for the rest of the Singaporean’s sake, uncle ass, stop embarrassing yourself and hand the jet back to the pro la… I’ve seen enough, u bloody asshole…

Luckily Mr. Ass did hand the jet back to the professional before I could fire another round of words to him… I was totally impressed by the way uncle ass behaved… I just don’t understand why he needs to embarrassed himself in front of the professional. He might have thought that he did something steady tat particular day, but the fact is, Uncle Ass… u are a disgraced to all Singaporeans.

When people do things for u, u take it for granted, when people don do things for u, u complaint… When people do things for u, u pick on their mistakes… I felt sorry for u uncle ass… Being yr age, I felt really sorry for u that u did not pay attention in class when yr teacher is teaching Civic and moral education or Character Education. Oh… so u did not have this kind of lesson in schools those day? I see… Then u better feel sorry for yourself for living in this planet and not having something call manners and a heart for showing appreciation.

Here I shall wish u all the best to u uncle ass and a very very Happy new year to u…

From,

Your neighbor in 421.

Have u explored Singapore yet???

Who says there is no place to enjoy in

Singapore

? U must know where to find ma Haiyo

Last Sunday,

4/12/05

. I brought Limin to some of the places that I grown up at 1st of all, I brought her to the Kranji War memorial which is just a few stone throw away from my kampong in Kranji. It was my 2nd visit of the place for the week. We spent around 2 hours there and I show Limin around the place while she took some photos.Img_3741

Then we head to Lim Chu Kang Farmart. It was very crowded there as it is a Sunday. We parked our car at a less crowded car park and we head straight to the mini farm hidden at the corner of the Farmart. There are quite a number animals at the farm. From goats to Snakeheads (a kind of fish).

Then we went to the prawn fishing ground to take a look. Soon as after that we were hungry and we  decided to grab some food as we travel. We bought some chicken wings, but it was too hot and we decided to have it later.  We went to a few aquarium and some pet shops. Some were selling marine fishes and puppies It was a real eye opener for limin I guess After that we bought some sugar cane juice and head back to the car to enjoy our nice BBQ chicken wing.

Nippon Koi Hotel was our next destination. We actually wanted to go to Qian Hu at first, but me more interested to visit Koi hotel la The place has only 1 thing that fascinated me, and tats Koi. Thats all We walked along the Koi pond which is very very big mann.. Lots of Koi Limin chatted with one of the workers there and we actually found out a lot of things from the Q&A session which was initiated by Limin. Guess wat we found out? Out of 3000 Koi born, only 3 or less belongs to the price winning category. Even if it from the same mother.

The worker then advice us to go visit the pond further up the farm. There the Koi really good quality! says the worker. Go and see.

When we reached there, all u could hear is Wah Wow Wa Lao eh Its so Big!!!

This is really where the good quality Koi were kept mann The colour were so rich and bright.  We spent around another 45mins there looking around as there is a breeding area where the farm breed their own local price winning Koi.

Then we went to choose some Koi too I bought 7 Koi and there were now happily swimming in my house

Then I brought Limin to the Chua Chu Kang cemetery where I show her the training facilities of the

Civil

Defense

Academy

. Lim Chu Kang point was next. Where the PCG is There we took lots of photos. We were there Img_3791just in time for the beautiful sunset. We were happily taking photos of the sunset  that we got locked at the jetty and we didnt realised that till the fisherman return from the kelong and advice us to leave before he locks the gate again Then we headed home for dinner

It was a short but happy trip for the day Next trip in the planning? Farms in Lim Chu Kang. Go recee recee a bit next time

John Richardson

Friday, December 9th, 2005

I sent my mum to work last Friday, 09/12/05. Then I decide to head straight to the Kranji War Memorial for a photo shoot. I parked my car under the old tree which I believe that had witnessed lots of major ceremonies since the existence of the War Memorial. Img_3740

This time the feeling I had there was a totally different one from the last time Img_3747I visited it. I believe its all due to the different reason and purpose I’m going this time too. Today its merely photo taking. It was just a normal walk in the memorial as I’ve already known the layout of the place inside out. It all was normal till I came to the section where the tomb was relocated from the Pasir Panjang Cemetery. These are the relatives of the soldiers who sacrificed for the our nation or some other’s nation, so we could enjoy the freedom now that we took for granted.

There was this particular tomb where a wreath was placed in front of it. John Richardson was his name, He served on board the Royal Navy H.M.S Terror. He died at a young age of 25 years old. It was exactly my age now. The feeling was strange and I couldn’t explain. The whole feeling of the photo shoot had brought me to another dimension.
